A Note to Our Visitors

Overview

Ever since the museum opened, we have been entrusted with the care of treasures from temples and shrines in areas including the Kinki region. In this series titled “Buddhist Art of Osaka,” we will exhibit from these deposited materials, with a special focus on the treasures from the temples and shrines of Osaka Prefecture.

As well as being a place of spiritual support for the people, temples and shrines have played an important role in protecting cultural properties. Please have a look at the precious treasures that have been handed down and preserved throughout the generations within this region.
